I just started reading Amy and Rogers Epic Detour. It's about a girl named Amy that lives in Raven Rock California and she and her brother are juniors in high school. There was an accident and her mom is starting a new life for them in Connecticut. At the end of the first chapter she finds out she has to drive her moms car form California to Connecticut with a guy she barely remembers. It's going to be difficult for her because she cant stand to be in a car since the accident.
"I knew in that instant the trip has suddenly gotten a lot more complicated. "
- I think she said this because the guy she knew in the past with ears that stuck out and he was all grown up and "shockingly good-looking".
This sounds like it would be a good book. I think I might read this book in the near future. I wonder what was so bad about the accident that she avoids cars. Did someone die in the accident?
